As the European league season approaches the midway point, matches are reaching a new level of excitement.
With a world tournament also on the horizon, national team clashes are a must see.
Now then, let us walk through the v5.2.0 update in detail.
Gameplay Updates
Balance Adjustments to Improve Defending
Based on user feedback and an analysis of gameplay data, we have made adjustments in this update to reduce the situations where through balls succeed too easily, and to make defending feel more convincing. At the same time, we have maintained goal scoring balance, the game's overall sense of speed and the exhilaration of attacking play.
・ Reduced the difference in ability levels caused by players' top speed and acceleration
We observed many cases where a defender with low Player Stats in Speed and Acceleration was unable to follow an opposing forward's sudden running movements, resulting in a failure to keep marking them.
To correct this issue, we reviewed how play is affected by low Player Stats in Speed and Acceleration. We then reduced the difference in ability levels.
This adjustment has decreased the situations where a defender is left behind from the very first step, making it easier to defend when following an attacker. At the same time, we have maintained the game's overall sense of speed and the ways in which tempo changes.
・ Reduced how fast the Player Stat "Acceleration" decreases as stamina declines
Due to the Player Stat "Acceleration" greatly decreasing as stamina is lost during a match, defenders were often unable to keep up with the sudden running movements of forwards introduced in the second half. As a result, forwards were able to break through the defence with greater ease.
To correct this issue, we reduced the degree to which Acceleration decreases as stamina is lost, making it easier for defenders to react properly even in the second half.
・ Additional effect applied to the Player Stat "Defensive Awareness"
High importance was placed on the Player Stat "Acceleration" when responding to a marked opponent's quick running. As a result, the dominance of a player with strong defensive abilities was not expressed sufficiently.
On top of that, after we made an adjustment in the v5.0.0 update allowing the Player Stat "Attacking Awareness" to affect acceleration levels during attacking runs, defending and attacking stats were no longer in good balance.
To correct this issue, we made an adjustment so that Defensive Awareness now impacts acceleration levels when marking an opponent.
This adjustment makes it easier for a defender with high Defensive Awareness to respond to an opponent's sudden running movements even if they have low Acceleration.
More Support Features Added
Auto Control Introduced to VS AI Matches
We have revamped the "AI-controlled" user controls option, changing it to the "Auto Control" feature that is available exclusively for VS AI matches.
When Auto Control is enabled, the AI controls the players when no user commands are entered, but immediately switches to user-based controls when the user wishes to play themselves.
Try out this new way of playing, which leaves the most difficult commands to the AI and lets you focus on the most decisive moments where you can score a goal and win the match.
Advice Now Given in Real Time
A player or manager may decide to give you a little advice during a match to help you improve your game. The content will depend on the match situation and the commands you entered at the time.
At half-time or on the results screen, specific advice can be viewed together with conversations and videos.
Every match provides you with a chance to learn and grow.
Playing Tendencies Now Analysed
This feature aggregates and analyses the results of your 10 most recent PvP matches and helps you visualize your playing style.
Data related to you and your opponents, along with the averages for Divisions 1–4, can be compared using the same indicators.
Make use of the analysis results to choose better tactics and commands, then take your game to the next level.
More Ways to Play
Introducing the New Campaign Hub Shop
We are adding a new type of Campaign Hub where you can exchange Campaign Points, which can be earned by playing matches, for the rewards you like.
Choose whether to receive rewards steadily after each match, or to save points and take aim at especially amazing rewards.
Select which rewards to exchange points for according to your objectives.
Play the New "Tour Rally" Event
We are hosting a new type of PvP Event called Tour Rally.
Earn points by playing matches and meeting in-match bonus targets, and receive rewards when you reach specific thresholds.
Obtain a great many points and walk away with a showpiece item!
Take on the New "Squad Challenge" Event
We have added a new VS AI Event, Squad Challenge.
Once a player wins a match during this Event, they cannot take part in any subsequent match.
Since the number of available players will decrease as this challenge goes on, the key to winning is having enough good players to replace them.
Select a wide range of players and keep winning matches to complete this Event.

Special Player List with 1 Headliner Guaranteed
We have added Special Player Lists that always includes 1 Headliner when signing 10 players at once.

*Users with Belgium as their Country/Region of Residence will not have access to loot boxes that require eFootball™ Coins as payment.
Once a Day at No Cost, Play the Show Time: Daily Free Draw
For a limited time, users can take a free draw once a day from a Special Player List where you have a chance to sign a Show Time player.
Log in every day while this Event is held and sign some top-class players!

New Kinds of Boosters to Craft
Booster Crafting is now available for 12 kinds of Boosters that could not be selected for crafting up to this time, including "Accuracy" and "Strength".
When using a Select Booster Token, it is now possible to select from all 28 kinds of Boosters. A Random Booster Token will now choose randomly from 14–15 Boosters based on the player's registered position.
*If the player is a goalkeeper, a Random Booster Token will select randomly from 8 different Boosters.

- In this update, we have primarily adjusted how defending is balanced in relation to through balls, based on user feedback and an analysis of gameplay data.
- 〇 Movement
- ・ Raised the minimum speed exhibited by players who have low Player Stats in "Speed" and "Acceleration", and made adjustments to reduce the difference in ability levels compared to better players.
- 〇 Dribbling
- ・ Fixed an issue occurring while dribbling where touching the ball prior to the correct timing caused it to be kicked too far.
- 〇 Defence
- ・ Made adjustments so that the Player Stat "Defensive Awareness" now impacts acceleration levels when marking an opponent.
- ・ After a through ball was made, there were cases where the defending player under user control did not chase the ball and instead moved in the direction of the user’s input. We have adjusted this so that the player will chase the ball depending on the situation.
- 〇 AI
- ・ Made adjustments to reduce the degree to which the Player Stat "Acceleration" decreases as stamina is lost.
- ・ Fixed an issue where, after a sliding tackle, the cursor remained on that defender even if they were not in a position where they could reach the loose ball the fastest.
- ・ Fixed an issue where the cursor did not switch to a suitable player when a pass was made while Manual Pass Level was set to "4".
- 〇 Controls
- ・ Fixed an issue where a sliding tackle was attempted using defending controls even though the opponent was still in the middle of trapping the ball.
- ・ Fixed an issue where defending controls, including sliding tackles, do not respond immediately after competing with an opposing player for the ball.

- ・ Made adjustments to the Power Gauge level when a player with a shooting skill attempts a Stunning Shot from a ball in mid-air.

- ・ When checking the Match History, you may encounter an error that will disconnect you from the game.
- ・ During Events where Smart Assist is not allowed, the Command List in the match pause menu may show the Smart Assist version of the commands. This is triggered if Smart Assist is set to "On" in your User Settings.
- ・ On the back side of a national team member's Player Card, their national flag appears instead of their club team.
- ・ Players being kept in the Backup Players slots do not appear when a user goes to [Extras] > [Support] > [Unavailable List] and then selects [Player] > [Filter] > [My Team] > [Earned].
- ・ The Custom Stadium may not be shown properly in the pre-match stadium selection screen.
- ・ Revised the Thai descriptions for some badges.
- ・ When checking the Match History, you may encounter an error that will disconnect you from the game.
- ・ During Events where Smart Assist is not allowed, the Command List in the match pause menu may show the Smart Assist version of the commands. This is triggered if Smart Assist is set to "On" in your User Settings.
