- Yuga Ohdo
- In a city where every citizen has to follow the rules, this 5th grader at Goha #7 Elementary School wants all Duelists to be free to Duel whenever they want, however they want. His dream may finally come true when a mysterious hologram allows Yuga to upload his newest invention - Rush Duels! As Rush Duels spread far and wide, Yuga shares his message that it doesn't matter if you win or lose - as long as you have a great time. Yuga loves to eat noodles, but he hates bell peppers and ladybugs. During a Duel, when there are more Attributes in his Graveyard, his ace Sevens Road Magician grows in strength. With every new invention he creates, Yuga is one step further on his road to freedom!
- Lucidien Kallister
- 5th grader Lucidien Kallister - better known as Luke - is the self-proclaimed best Duelist at Goha #7 Elementary School. Though that may sound silly to some, he has the skills to back up his claim. Luke repeatedly challenges a strange stranger for the King of Duels title, but he seeks Yuga's help when his account is almost deleted. His ace monster is Multistrike Dragon Dragias, a dragon that can attack twice in a single turn. Once again, his ace monster is Multistrike Dragon Dragias, a dragon that can attack twice in a single turn.. (We mention it twice because this detail is twice as important.)
- Gavin Sogetsu
- At Goha #7 Elementary School, 6th grader Gavin Sogetsu runs a tight ship as its student council president. His Sogetsu Style of Dueling focuses on tradition and history - polished and honed through many generations. Ever since the creation of Rush Duels, Gavin has to babysit Yuga and Luke to keep them out of trouble - but he seems to secretly enjoy their shenanigans. They gradually teach Gavin to loosen up - to the point where he's willing to draw his own cards during a Duel instead of having his assistants draw his cards for him! His ace monster is Yamiruler the Dark Delayer.
- Romin Kassidy
- With great grades and athletic skills, Yuga's classmate is not only a superstar at school - she's also a superstar on stage as the guitarist of the mega popular rock band RoaRomin. Romin wasn't interested in Dueling at first, but by hanging out with Yuga and Luke, she learns to love Rush Duels. Her ace monster is Prima Guitarna the Shining Superstar, a special card she received from her idol Princess G. She seems to harbor some secrets, but she won't tell you what they are because... well... it's a secret!
- Mimi Imimi
- Yuga's new classmate is actually a 37 year-old mother - for realsies! Mimi's daily job is to help run the whole city as a member of Goha Enterprises' senior management - the Top of the Hexagon. Since Rush Duels is a threat to Goha Enterprises, Mimi infiltrates Yuga's group of friends to spy and find a way to uninstall Rush Duels. With her ace monster Dian Keto the Boogie Master, she enjoys reliving her younger days when she was the life of the party. And if you don't believe that, you can talk to the hand!
- Roa Kassidy
- Romin's cousin is the lead singer of the famous rock band RoaRomin. Roa harbors a grudge against Yuga because the enigmatic Otes chose to give Sevens Road Magician to Yuga instead of him. That leads Roa to challenge Yuga to a team battle for control of Rush Duels. With Royal Rebel's Heavy Metal and an array of Fiend-Type monsters, Roa is a force to be reckoned with because no one shines on stage quite like Roa!
