See below for a detailed breakdown of what will happen to all your game data and in-game items from PES 2019 mobile when the PES 2020 mobile update goes live this October.

  • What happens to my myClub Coins?

All myClub Coins from PES 2019 will carry over to PES 2020.

  • What happens to my GP?

All GP from PES 2019 will carry over to PES 2020.

  • What happens to my Model Teams?

If the Model Team you set in PES 2019 is included in PES 2020, then you should be able to use it as is. However, for some teams, the team name, strip and emblem will be automatically changed.

If the Model Team you set in PES 2019 is not included in PES 2020, then you will have to choose a new team from those available after the update. You can change your Model Team and team name at any time by going to [Extras] → [User Information] → [User Details] and selecting Model Team and Team Name.

  • Players

    New Player Type: “Carryover Players”

In PES 2019, there were 3 types of players available in-game: Base Players, Featured Players and Legend Players. Starting in PES 2020, a new category of player will be added – the Carryover Player.

When the PES 2020 mobile update goes live, all Base Players and Featured Players that you owned in PES 2019 will automatically be converted to Carryover Players. The appearance, position, skills, tactics and other player data of Carryover Players will be the same as that of a Base Player.

Carryover Players will differ from other player categories in the following ways:

    - You’ll earn more GP by releasing Carryover Players than other types of players with comparable Overall Ratings.
    - Carryover Players will have their Condition Rating fixed to “C”, and will not be impacted by Live Updates.
    - Carryover Players cannot be used in certain online events.
    - Carryover Players may receive a lower bonus than other player types in certain online events.
  • Existing Player Types

See below for details on how existing player types will be handled when PES 2020 mobile goes live.

    Base Players

If a Base Player you obtained in PES 2019 is included in PES 2020, his player data will be updated to data from September 2019, and he will be automatically converted into a Carryover Player when the update goes live. Your players' appearance, positions, abilities, skills, tactics, etc. may be updated, and their Overall Ratings may also change.

If a Base Player you obtained in PES 2019 is not included in PES 2020, he will be exchanged for a random Base Player of the same rarity (ball colour) and registered position from those featured in PES 2020.

You will not be able to select the player that you receive through this exchange mechanic.

    Featured Players
If a Featured Player you obtained in PES 2019 is included in PES 2020, his player data will be updated to data from September 2019, and he will be automatically converted into a Carryover Player when the update goes live. The appearance, position, abilities, skills, tactics, etc. of former Featured Players will be updated to match those of their Base Player counterparts.

If a Featured Player you obtained in PES 2019 is not included in PES 2020, he will be exchanged for a random Base Player of the same rarity (ball colour) and registered position from those featured in PES 2020.

You will not be able to select the player that you receive through this exchange mechanic.
    Legend Players
Any Legend Players obtained in PES 2019 that are also included in PES 2020 will still be usable as Legend Players after the update. However, the appearance, positions, abilities, skills, tactics, Overall Rating etc. of some Legends is subject to change during the update.

Legend Players obtained in PES 2019 that are not included in PES 2020 will be exchanged for a random Base Player of the same rarity (ball colour) and registered position from those featured in PES 2020.

You will not be able to select the player that you receive through this exchange mechanic.

  • Player Levels and Overall Ratings

Changes are coming to the relationship between player levels and on-pitch performance to ensure a more realistic and rewarding experience.

In PES 2019, level 30 represented the baseline level of performance for all players in the game. Since most players in PES are signed at level 1, the baseline being set to level 30 meant that you were you were tasked with levelling a weaker version of each player until they reached their true potential at level 30.

In PES 2020, the baseline level of performance for players will be changed to level 1, ensuring that all players perform at their true potential from the moment you sign them. You will still be able to improve their performance by levelling them beyond the baseline, thereby increasing their stats and Overall Ratings. This new change simply means that when you’ve signed a player, he'll start playing as his true self – no assembly required.

Be aware that each player has a different max level, according to his innate potential for growth.

  • Player Levels

    Carryover Players:
Players that you obtained in PES 2019 that are included in PES 2020 and are level 30 or under at the time of the update will carry over as level 1 players.
Any Carryover Players that were level 31 or above at the time of the update will have their level maxed out when PES 2020 goes live.

    Non-Carryover Players:
Players that you obtained in PES 2019 that are not included in PES 2020 will be exchanged for a random player of the same ball colour (rarity) and registered position.
Players received through this exchange mechanic will be set to their max level from the outset of the update. Please note, however, that max levels differ from player to player.

You will not be able to select the specific player that you receive through this exchange mechanic.

  • Contract Periods for Exchange Players

All players received through the exchange mechanic detailed above will have their contract period set to 10 matches. Additionally, any users that received an exchange player during the update will also receive 10 contract renewal tickets.

  • Item Effects

The effects of any Pos. Boost items and the New Player Skills items used on players in PES 2019 will be nullified when the PES 2020 update goes live.

  • Trainers:

If a player you converted into a Trainer is included in PES 2020, you can use him as is.
Any Special Trainers that you owned in PES 2019 will also carry over to PES 2020.
If a player you converted into a Trainer is not included in PES 2020, he will be exchanged for a ★3 Special Trainer with no expiry date. Any ★3 Special Trainers that you are eligible to receive will be sent to your Inbox after the update goes live.

  • Scouts:

In general, you can use your Scouts as is, but any Scouts that has no available players to sign in PES 2020 will be exchanged for another Scout with the same negotiation skill (★ - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★). The Scouts you receive through this exchange have no expiry date, and will be sent to your Inbox after the update.

*Users cannot select the category of the Scout they receive through Scout exchanges.
*Some Scouts obtained via the exchange may temporarily be unable to sign any players.

  • Managers:

    Manager Data Updates

If a Manager you obtained in PES 2019 is included in PES 2020, their Manager data will be updated to match the start of the 2019-20 season. The updated Manager data includes Basic Info such as their Photo, Formation, Adaptability, Management Skills and Offensive and Defensive Tactics. Note that some Managers who also feature in PES 2020 may have their name changed and photo removed.
If you owned multiple copies of the same Manager in PES 2019, you will only be able to select one of the duplicates to update to the latest data when PES 2020 goes live. Any copies of duplicate Managers that you do not choose to update to PES 2020 data can be exchanged for a Manager of your choice from among those featured in PES 2020 at the time of the update.
Similar to the above, if a Manager your obtained in PES 2019 is not included in PES 2020, you’ll be able to choose a new Manager from those featured in PES 2020 at the time of the update.

    About Duplicate Managers

You will no longer be able to have multiple copies of the same Manager in PES 2020.
Once you obtain a Manager, Managers of the same name will cease to appear on the list of Signable Managers.
If you wish to obtain a different variation of a Manager you currently own, you must first release the Manager that you have. Once you’ve released your Manager, you will then have to wait for another variation of him to appear on the Signable Managers list. Please note that this may take some time, as Managers that appear on this list are selected at random.

    Contract Duration for Carryover Managers

The contract duration for all Managers that you own will automatically be set to 25 matches during the update.

    Manager Item Effects

The effects of any Management Skills Boost items used on Managers in PES 2019 will be nullified when the PES 2020 update goes live.
