What is Metal Gear Acid?
Metal Gear Solid was first released for the PlayStation(R) in 1998.
Since then, the Metal Gear Solid series has become a global phenomenon.
And now, Metal Gear will become available for the PSP - in a totally new form.
Metal Gear Acid is its name.

When it was decided to create a new Metal Gear game for the PSP, one key point came up above all else: It should be a dedicated game for a portable game system, and with that, one that offers a completely new Metal Gear gaming experience for the new handheld machine.
The new form of Metal Gear that you can see on these pages is a "Metal Gear that is not an action game". The key element that separates this from other Metal Gear titles is the advent of the popular card system. Using these cards, players must customize his/her abilities and strategies. Cards = the player's weapons + abilities.

In Metal Gear Acid, the player edits his/her attributes to fight in a way best fitting that particular level. The player's mission is still that of infiltration. Unique characters appear in a engrossing and original storyline. While methods of completing the levels are different, this is still a Metal Gear title in every sense.
By fusing the well-known Metal Gear series and totally new gameplay - Metal Gear Acid becomes a title completely different from any other the other games in the Metal Gear Solid series.
