SUPER BOMBERMAN R ONLINE SEASON 3 BLASTS OFF WITH NEW ‘BOMBER’ FROM SUIKODEN SERIES

New ‘Mighty Fest’ event, cosmetics and more will also be added in this latest update
Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. today announced the start of Season 3 in SUPER BOMBERMAN R ONLINE, which is available now, free-to-play across PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam, and Google Stadia. This new season will see the introduction of Suikoden 2 Hero Bomber, based on Riou from the fan-favorite Suikoden series.
Suikoden 2 Hero Bomber is a Bomberman that leads the New State Army fighting against Highland on Planet Dunan. Through countless encounters and partings, he overcame a life of adversity with 107 allies to become the hero that he is today. In SUPER BOMBERMAN R ONLINE, he will have the ‘Twin Fang’ ability, which will blast nearby characters and bombs away with a tonfa.
In addition to Suikoden 2 Hero Bomber, Season 3 will be kicking off with a new ‘Mighty Fest’ event that will take place in the Power Zone stage. In this event, players’ firepower and number of plantable bombs are maxed out from the start!
Finally, purchasing the Season 3 Gold Battle Pass will activate an EXP Bonus feature that will allow users to be able to earn 30% extra EXP by playing quick matches up until the end of the season. New maps are also being prepared for SUPER BOMBERMAN R ONLINE’s Battle 64 mode, so stay tuned!

Players can further discern themselves from the rest with the optional Premium Pack (RRP €9.99/£9.99/$9.99), giving access to 14 additional bomber characters that pay homage to classic KONAMI IP’s such as Gradius, Silent Hill, Castlevania and more!
While anyone in the world can jump into a “Battle 64” room, the Premium Pack allows players to create their own private Room Match with rulesets that include “Battle 64” mode, “Standard” mode with up to 16 players or “Grand Prix”. Grand Prix divides players into two teams of up to 3v3 to compete in earning points, with the highest total points after the two battle rounds wins.
