  • Organized Play Assistant, Card Business

    POSITION SUMMARY: An individual contributor that supports the Card Business Organized Play (OP) team, coordinating shipping, logistics and tournament support for all Card Business OP.

    Job Title: Organized Play Assistant (Full-time temporary position – Hybrid)
    Department:    Card Business
    Reports To:    Senior Manager of OP and Events – Americas

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assist with responding to Zendesk tickets and assigning/delegating tickets to the correct department.
    • Help the OP Specialist process all tournament paperwork, including but not limited to requesting invoices from Tournament Organizers, proof of payments, data entering earned invites and preparing all documentation for final invoice pay outs for Regional Qualifiers and OTS Championships.
    • Assist with forecasting all inventory needs for Regional Qualifier seasons, including player participation product, judge product, and prize support items.
    • Work with Associate OP Manager for Tier 3 event coordination, including but not limited to, whitelisting Duelists for VIP Qualifiers and OTS Store Tournaments, updating prize wall values and inventory needs, general communication with the YCS Tournament Organizer.
    • Assist with talent travel bookings as needed, manage hotel rooming list, coordinate with the travel manager to arrange flights, and communicate all relevant event information to the talent.
    • Assist with vendor communication and coordination for convention-related items as needed.
    • Learn to operate offline and online tournament software.
    • Scheduling and minute-taking of meetings when requested.
    • Other duties as assigned.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Ability to lift at least 50lbs.
    • Must have great organizational skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure.
    • High sense of confidentiality.
    • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to accurately process and data enter information.
    • Must be detail-oriented and demonstrate ability to multi-task.
    • Spanish language fluency a plus.
    • Proven ability to work with various personality types and work styles in a multicultural environment.
    • Knowledge of or the willingness to learn the workings of Card Business IP’s, including gameplay.

  • Production Coordinator, Card Business

    The Production Coordinator supports the Card Business design and production team by managing logistics, marketing scheduling, asset retrieval, and filing for all Card Business production projects. This role ensures the timely and efficient execution of production, working closely with the Production Specialist and other departments to maintain a smooth workflow across the stages of production.

    Title:                   Production Coordinator, Card Business

    Reports To:         Associate Director of Production

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Under the direct supervision of the Associate Director of Production, coordinate English (EN) and Foreign Language (FL) design approvals (product, marketing, and sales assets) between the Konami European and Japanese offices and third-party vendors.
    • Coordinate with the Production Specialist to assign specific jobs to available designers based on deadlines.
    • Work with the Production Specialist and EU to ensure the timely creation of product logos and digital mock-ups to be used by Sales and Marketing
    • Work with the Production Specialist in the creation of card images used by the Organized Play team and the production team in product, prizing, and livestream (different formatted versions are needed)
    • Maintain the marketing production schedule and communicate with the various departments before assigning jobs in Asana, the project management software
    • Maintain Asana task flow and alert designers/design requesters of potential delays or issues
    • Follow up with design requesters to ensure jobs are top of mind, moving forward, and correct the status assigned in Asana
    • Coordinate the localization of approved EN marketing assets into the FL version (EU and LATAM), ensuring the necessary assets, such as translations and FL graphics, are available to move forward
    • Coordinate the intake of art assets (ones that will be used for mats, banners, etc.) with the Production Specialist and Design Team. Tag in Extensis and file it on the server accordingly
    • Maintain Extensis meta tag catalog, ensuring all artwork and files (past and present) are correctly tagged and optimized for cross-referencing
    • Act as liaison between designer and design requester for miscellaneous requests that require an intermediary (art/copy acquisition, reminders about deadlines, etc.)

    Qualifications:

    • 1 – 2 years of experience with a collectible or trading card game, printing, or graphic design
      within the functional area of production required.
    • Bilingual Japanese/English skills are a plus.
    • Great organizational skills.
    • Able to work under pressure.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects.
    • Work well in a team environment.
    • Strong attention to detail and strong work ethic.
    • High sense of confidentiality.
    • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite.

    This member of the game development team will play a key role in bridging communication within the company and external audiences. We are seeking an innovative and strategic communicator who excels at managing multiple projects and messaging streams. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively communicate to diverse audiences throughout the various stages of development in a fast-paced environment.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and refine messaging that is relatable to games of all ages.
    • Manage messaging from high-level planning to consumer communications.
    • Closely monitor player feedback and tournament results to identify key insights into what the players’ true perception is.
    • Contribute to game and product development to make improvements on products designed for the global market.
    • Write advertising, marketing, and packaging copy that resonates with our target audience.
