Ganbare Goemon Series 40th Anniversary
The first title, Ganbare Goemon! Karakuri Dōchū, was released for the Family Computer in 1986. Goemon of Edo and his friends embark on adventures to defeat villains across Japan—and sometimes even in outer space. With its distinctive style blending a traditional Japanese setting with comedic touches and science-fiction elements, a colorful cast of characters, and music that fuses the sounds of traditional Japanese instruments with rock and a wide range of other genres, the series has been beloved by generations of fans.
