○Using Copyrighted Work permitted by these Guidelines
You may adapt and use the Copyrighted Work as described below. Please carefully check the content of the license that differs between copyrighted musical work (such as BGM) and copyrighted non-musical work. In all cases, activities must be for nonprofit purposes as described below.
○Adapting and publishing copyrighted non-musical work
You may adapt the Copyrighted Work (except copyrighted musical work and copyrighted work outside the scope as detailed below), create derivative works (as defined in Article 2, Paragraph 1, Item 11, of the Copyright Act; hereinafter the same shall apply), and publish, transfer, or otherwise distribute the derivative works (including items that use the derivative works).
○Arranging and publishing copyrighted musical works
You may arrange copyrighted musical works (hereinafter referred to as the “Copyrighted Musical Works”) contained in the Copyrighted Work and create derivative works.
The management of the below-listed musical pieces (hereinafter referred to as the “Musical Pieces under Management”) in the Copyrighted Musical Works is entrusted to the Japan Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers (JASRAC) or NexTone Inc.
You may perform and publish the Musical Pieces under Management and their derivative works, regardless of whether arranged or not, by following the procedures prescribed by the management organization, and transfer, deliver, or otherwise sell your recorded performances.
*As of Mar. 4, 2024, there are no available Musical Pieces under Management.
*The list of available musical pieces will be updated from time to time.
You may perform and publish the Copyrighted Musical Works other than the Musical Pieces under Management and their derivative works, regardless of whether arranged or not, without following any procedures, and transfer, deliver, or otherwise distribute your recorded performances.
○Examples of using the Copyrighted Work in accordance with these Guidelines
You may, for example, engage in the following activities:
・Creating novels, illustrations, manga, animations, and video works, which are adaptations of the Games.
・Creating figures, stuffed toys, and cosplay costumes, which reproduce the expressions of the Games.
・Arranging the musical pieces included in the Games.
・Publishing, distributing, demonstrating, and providing free-of-charge your creations from the above activities.
*Standards for Noncommercial Purposes in these Guidelines
For the purpose of these Guidelines, any free-of-charge activities, for which you receive no compensation, are regarded as noncommercial. Even if you receive compensation for distributing your creations or publishing them through creator support services, any activities whose amount, scale of distribution, and contents are deemed to remain within the scope of personal fan activities in light of the purpose of these Guidelines, are regarded as noncommercial.
When you participate in sales promotion and other events, please comply with terms and conditions, if any, set forth separately by the organizer, such as for licensing a copyright.
*For paid concerts, live performances, and club events where the musical pieces of the Games are used, which are outside the scope of application of these Guidelines, please contact us individually.
○Copyright notice in derivative works of the Copyrighted Work
If you include your own copyright notice in derivative works of the Copyrighted Work, you must also include our copyright notice as follows:

○Prohibitions when using the Copyrighted Work
When using the Copyrighted Work in accordance with these Guidelines, you are prohibited from doing any of the following activities:
Regardless of whether or not you engage in any of these prohibited activities, please discontinue the use of the Copyrighted Works promptly upon request by us.
・Performing activities in such a manner as to mislead people as if your activities are official works of our company or the Games. Misleading people as if you have a commission from us or partnership with us (including indications such as “Official”).
・Using our logo. Infringing our trademark rights.
・Extracting the logo of the Games, and the images, scenarios, illustrations, sounds, and musical pieces contained in the Games as they are (including publication of transcribed lyrics and musical scores). Copying, tracing, processing, or editing these materials without adding any creative expression by you.
・Infringing any third party rights.
・Publishing derivative works that include excessive violent, sexual, or antisocial behavior expressions.
・Using for commercial purposes. This includes using to promote and advertise other goods, services, or companies.
・Activities for the purpose of defamation, religious, political, or antisocial activities.
・Including content that is offensive to public order and morals or combining it with illegal information.
○Other provisions
・We will not compensate you for any damage suffered by you as a result of posting videos and using the Copyrighted Work in accordance with these Guidelines.
・Please comply with the laws and regulations of the country or region where you engage in activities.
・We do not respond to queries about the interpretation of these Guidelines.
・These Guidelines only apply to the Games and do not apply to all our other titles. In addition, the intellectual property of third parties other than us contained in the Games is outside the scope of using the copyrighted work set forth in these Guidelines.
・These Guidelines will be updated from time to time without notice. Please check the latest version each time.
