Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. is thrilled to announce the 12 players who will participate in the HUGAN WBSC ePremier12, a global baseball esports tournament.
The HUGAN WBSC ePremier12 2024 is an international esports tournament organized by the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC), and played using the official WBSC baseball game, "WBSC eBASEBALL™ Power Pros," developed and published by KONAMI. Qualifiers were held across various countries starting in April of this year, and now the 12 participants for the tournament have been finalized. The players will advance through the Opening Round and Super Round stages, competing for the world championship title in the finals held at Tokyo Dome on November 23.
The Opening Round of the HUGAN ePremier12 will feature two groups of six players. Group A matches were held in the United States from Saturday, October 26, to Sunday, October 27. Players Dashu and Ben Zen secured their spots in the Super Round, where only the top four players from both groups can advance. Group B matches will take place in Chinese Taipei on Saturday, November 2, and Sunday, November 3, where the remaining two tickets to the Super Round are up for grabs. The Super Round will be held on Thursday, November 21, at the Esports Ginza Studio in Tokyo. The top four players from the opening round will face off in a round-robin format. The top two players from this stage will then advance to the finals, which will take place at Tokyo Dome on Saturday, November 23. With what is sure to be a packed house, anticipation is high for this decisive match that will crown the world champion.
