Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. is proud to announce it will once again run the Baseball Equipment Reuse Project at Tokyo Dome on Tuesday, November 21, as part of its initiatives to promote baseball.
This is the second year we are running the Baseball Equipment Reuse Project, where we invite everyone to dig out and donate old equipment to us so that we can distribute them to those in need through our Pawaspi Point Club (baseball points program). Our goal is to provide more children with the means to play baseball and help increase in baseball population.
Last year, thanks to the incredible support of many baseball fans, we were able to collect 320 pieces of equipment. In Japan, gloves and bats were distributed free of charge by lottery through the Pawaspi Point Club. Overseas, equipment was donated with the help of the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) Africas. Whether in Japan or abroad, equipment found its way to those with a passion for baseball.
This year, the Baseball Equipment Reuse Project will be held at Tokyo Dome during the High School Baseball Girls Selection vs. Ichiro Selection KOBE CHIBEN game. Equipment donated will be distributed free of charge through the Pawaspi Point Club and the WBSC. In addition, everyone who donates a piece of equipment that day will receive a KONAMI’s baseball-themed gift and a chance to win a special Ichiro-san figure in a drawing. So if you have any unwanted equipment, we encourage you to donate it to those in need!
Anyone who plans to donate is required to register first. For details, visit the Pawaspi Point Club official website, listed below.
