Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. is excited to announce that today marks the start of the online qualifying round for its "eBaseball Professional Baseball Spirits 2021: Grand Slam" tournament, which is being held as part of Tokyo Esports Festival 2022, an esports competition and trade show that gets underway on Friday, January 28.
Beginning today, Monday, December 13, players can participate in this online qualifying round prior to the finals, which will take place on Sunday, January 30. In this initial phase of the tournament, players will compete for one of four teams in the Tokyo Esports Festival 2022 Cup in the game's Championship Mode. Rankings will be determined by wins/losses and other game stats accumulated during the qualifying period. The highest-ranked player on each team will then advance to the finals in January.

The latest entry, "eBaseball Professional Baseball Spirits 2021: Grand Slam," offers an incredibly realistic baseball experience, utilizing 3D scan technology that photographs real pro baseball players from 360 degrees and recreates them in-game with stunning accuracy, as well as laser scan technology that captures baseball stadiums down to the finest detail. Mobile title "Professional Baseball Spirits Ace," released in 2015, is now in its sixth year, with the game racking up over 29 million downloads (as of September 17, 2021). In addition, it is the competition title for the eBaseball ProSpi A League, a professional baseball esports league launched in December 2021 by Nippon Professional Baseball and Konami Digital Entertainment.
