Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. is proud to announce it will serve as the MVP of the Month sponsor for the Japan Professional Football League (“J.League”) 2021 season, following its sponsorship of the same award in the 2019 and 2020 seasons.
The MVP of the Month award is presented to the most outstanding players in each league (J1, J2, J3) every month, as determined by a selection committee. As before, the award will be known as the “Meiji Yasuda J.League KONAMI MVP of the Month” (or the “KONAMI MVP of the Month” for short).
Also serving as a J.League Top Partner, KONAMI has and continues to help promote Japanese soccer. Last season, in light of the impact of COVID-19, we presented this award online through J.League TV, in a supporters and players event called the “Meiji Yasuda J.League KONAMI MVP of the Month Fan Meeting.” New plans for the current season will be detailed on the “J.League Club Championship” mobile game’s website, as well as on the game’s information page.
Through its partnership with J.League, Konami Digital Entertainment aims to broaden soccer’s appeal, bringing the fun and excitement of the sport to an ever greater audience.
