eFootball™ KICKS OFF A BRAND-NEW SEASON

KONAMI’s flagship football video game is back with a host of gameplay updates, in-game campaigns, and more.

LOS ANGELES – September 12, 2024 – Konami Digital Entertainment Inc. can today announce the latest update to the eFootball™ title, the first main one of the 2024/25 season. Within this, there will be multiple changes to in-game features, a selection of in-game campaigns for users to enjoy.

New features in gameplay
The latest eFootball™ update will include a selection of updates to the in-game experience for users. Following a continuous analysis of community feedback, KONAMI can confirm the following changes to be made:

• The new “Booster Slot” is a way to customize player attributes, giving them an extra stat boost. By obtaining and using “Random Booster Tokens” and “Select Booster Tokens” users can craft among the 17 various Boosters for their players. World renowned legend players Ronaldinho Gaúcho, Deco, and L. Giuly will be appearing as Epic cards with “Booster Slot” in this new update.

• Removal of contract limits, meaning users can use all of their players, no matter when they signed them. Players whose contracts have already expired can also use their service again.

• Automatic options have been added to player progression. This means that users can opt not to think about the balance complexities of player upgrades, making it easy to train players. This is also met with the freedom to reset player progression without the need to spend GP.

• The “Finesse Dribble” is now also in eFootball™. With improved usability, this will give users more tactical options.

Campaigns
The new eFootball™ update is home to a host of new campaigns and bonuses for new and veteran users to enjoy. These can help strengthen their Dream Teams and enhance their experience both solo and in Co-op mode.

Players can receive a Showtime Messi card after completing the “Skill Up” tutorial, whilst also being able to gain as much as 7 random booster tokens, 7 skill training programs, and 300 eFootball™ coins as free login bonuses during the campaign period.

The Startup campaign will also include some special login presents including Highlight: FC Barcelona Robert Lewandowski, Highlight: FC Bayern Leroy Sané, and 2 Highlight lottery chance deals for FC Barcelona and FC Bayern.

This and a set of campaign achievements and Tour Events can see players gain huge in-game item collections – all necessary on the road to glory in the world’s leading free-to-play football simulation game.

Messi and Neymar will be in “Ambassador Edition” with booster with their teammates.
Packs including the namesake ambassador in addition to 10 world class players who played alongside them (For mobile and PC it will be called Ambassador Pack).
