How to adjust controller settings

How do I play 2 players co-op (controller settings) on Story?

Please follow the following steps.
* This is on the assumption that you are playing Super Bomberman R.

1. 1. Press the HOME button on your Joy-Con(R) and display the system menu of your console.
2. 2. Select "Controllers" and select "Change Grip/Order".
3. 3. Make sure that Joy-Con(L) and Joy-Con(R) are recognized horizontally.
   * When the Joy-Con is set to horizontal, one lamp will light up on player 1 and two lamps will light up on the player 2 side.
4. 4. Maintain the horizontal grip and select Super Bomberman R on the system menu and go back to the game.
   * Make sure to operate all menu controls with the player 1 controller.
5. 5. You can now play 2 player co-op by pressing a button on both controllers at the setup screen of Story mode.

How do I play with 2-4 players (controller settings) on Multiplayer Battle?

Please follow the following steps.
* This is on the assumption that you are playing Super Bomberman R.

1. 1. Start by registering all the Joy-Con™ you want to use to the Nintendo Switch™. Make sure to attach and register each Joy-Con™ in order. * Once it has been attached to the console, it will remained registered even when they are detached.
2. 2. Press the HOME button on your Joy-Con(R) and display the system menu of your console.
3. 3. Select "Controllers" and select "Change Grip/Order".
4. 4. Detach your Joy-Con™ and make the console recognize all the players' controllers.
   * When the Joy-Con is set to horizontal, one lamp will light up on player 1 and two lamps will light up on the player 2 side.
5. 5. Maintain the horizontal grip and select Super Bomberman R on the system menu and go back to the game.
6. 6. All participating players must press a button on their controllers at the Character Selection screen of the Multiplayer Battle mode in order to join the game.

How do I play with 5-8 players (controller settings) on Multiplayer Battle?

Please follow the following steps.
* This is on the assumption that you are playing Super Bomberman R.

1. 1. Start by registering all the Joy-Con™ you want to use to the Nintendo Switch™. Make sure to attach and register each Joy-Con™ in order. * Once it has been attached to the console, it will remained registered even when they are detached.
2. 2. Press the HOME button on your Joy-Con(R) and display the system menu of your console.
3. 3. Select "Controllers" and select "Change Grip/Order".
4. 4. Detach the Joy-Con™ and set it to the dual-controller grip in which one player holds both controllers. If you are playing with 8 players, make sure that 4 controllers are recognized as the dual-controller grip.
   
5. 5. Maintain the dual-controller grip and select Super Bomberman R on the system menu and go back to the game.
   * Make sure to operate all menu controls with the player 1 controller.
6. 6. Set the controllers to Horizontal Mode on the Character Selection screen of the Multiplayer Battle. This way all Joy-Con™ are set to horizontal and 8 players can join in the game.

How do I play 2 players (controller settings) on Local Battle and Online Battle modes?

Please follow the following steps.
* This is on the assumption that you are playing Super Bomberman R.

1. 1. Press the HOME button on your Joy-Con(R) and display the system menu of your console.
2. 2. Select "Controllers" and select "Change Grip/Order".
3. 3. Make sure that Joy-Con(L) and Joy-Con(R) are recognized horizontally.
   * When the Joy-Con is set to horizontal, one lamp will light up on player 1 and two lamps will light up on the player 2 side.
4. 4. Maintain the horizontal grip and select Super Bomberman R on the system menu and go back to the game.
