Update (07/13/2020)

The release date for the update file containing the fix for this issue has been pushed forward to 07/16.
Additionally, a Scout that can find Legend players in myClub mode will be sent out at 00:00 on 07/20/2020 (UTC) as compensation for this issue.
If you haven't played myClub, you will still be eligible to receive this Scout so long as you complete the myClub mode tutorial by 00:00 on 07/20/2020 (UTC).
Please note that any non-loan Legend players you've acquired in myClub can also be used in Master League. To do this, simply open Master League, then go to [System] > [Import a myClub Player].

Further investigation into this issue has revealed that it also affects users attempting to use imported data to begin a new game in Become a Legend. We have also discovered that the issue is only triggered by edit data from certain sources.
In response, we will be implementing a fix along with the update planned for 07/20 that will prevent users from importing data that has been identified as problematic.

Unfortunately, if you have already imported problematic data, there is currently no way for you to avoid a crash when playing either of the affected modes.

Rest assured, you will be able to start a new game in Master League or Become a Legend after you download the aforementioned update file. However, before you do this, you will need to delete your edit data.
To delete your import data, access the [Settings] menu from the home screen of your PS4™ system, then go to [Storage] > [System Storage] > [Saved Data] and select eFootball PES 2020. From there, delete both the 'Edit Data' and 'Backup Edit Data' files.

As compensation for this issue, all users that have completed the myClub tutorial by the start of maintenance on 07/20 will be sent a Scout that can find Legend players.

This Scout can be claimed from the Inbox in myClub mode.

Even if you haven't played myClub mode before, you can still qualify for this Scout as long as you complete the myClub mode tutorial by the date listed above.

Since maintenance on 06/04, several users have encountered an issue that causes Master League to crash after starting a new game using imported data.

We are still in the process of investigating this issue, and to that end, we would like to ask for your assistance.

If you are experiencing this issue, we ask that you submit an inquiry to us from [Online Support] > [FAQ & Inquiry] on the official eFootball PES 2020 website.
From there, select your game version, scroll down to 'Is the problem solved' and answer 'No' - this will open the form. Please fill out all relevant fields and click 'Send' when you are done.

*Select your region, language, and platform on the inquiry form.
*Make sure to type 'PES2020ML' at the top of your response in the Question box so that we know what your inquiry pertains to.
*If you are using import data downloaded from a website, please include the URL of the website you downloaded the data from.

Your cooperation in this matter will expedite our investigation, allowing us to get to the bottom of this issue as quickly as possible.
