eFootball PES 2020
Due to circumstances beyond our control, we have decided to run the eFootball.Open Regional Finals online. This change applies to the Regional Finals that were scheduled to take place in May and June in Europe, the Americas and Asia.

■ Previous Plan
Presently, the official eFootball.Open website (linked below) indicates that the Regional Finals will run in the following manner:Regional Finals will be held in the following locations: Europe, Americas and Asia.

For each club, region and platform, players will be selected based on the evaluation of their competition history with eFootball PES 2020 and other standards determined by KONAMI.
Regional Finals are to be played amongst users that registered under the same club.
Preset team of the club chosen when registering for eFootball.Open will be used to compete in the Regional Finals (stat balancing will be in effect).

■ Current Plan
At this stage, the plan is to have participants from each region compete against one another using PES 2020’s Online Tournament mode. Competitors will face off on servers hosted on each respective platform.

Please note that the official eFootball.Open website has not yet been updated to reflect these changes. The change in format to an online tournament will not impact the selection process for each region's competitors. Additionally, no changes will be made to the rules regarding which teams can be used during the finals, and stat balancing will still be in effect during all competition matches.

Details regarding the updated schedule of the Regional Finals will be published on the official eFootball website towards the end of March. All competitors that have successfully qualified for the Regional Finals will be notified by email in the first half of April.

*Notifications will be sent to the email address that was registered to your Konami ID account when you signed up for the tournament.
Furthermore, there is a chance that the World Finals planned for July may also suffer changes. We will provide further information regarding this matter in a future update.
