Utilization of Solar Power Generation

In consideration of the environment, private power generation system using solar and wind energy has been implemented at KONAMI CAMPUS since 2007.
The system reduces 102,969 kg/year CO2 emission (*1) which is equivalent to CO2 absorbed by 7,355 cedar trees/year. (*2)

(*1) CO2 emission for each year is calculated by multiplying the 3,464,045 kw/h of electricity from the private generation system from 2007 to March 2022 by CO2 emission coefficient set by individual electric power company and applying that per year.

(*2) Calculated on the assumption that one 50-year-old cedar tree absorbs approx. 14 kg of CO2 per year (according to "Sink Measures to Prevent Global Warming" by the Ministry of the Environment and the Forestry Agency).

The system reduces 2,503 kg/year CO2 emission (*1) which is equivalent to CO2 absorbed by 176 cedar trees/year. (*2)
