KONAMI GROUP CORPORATION, along with its 5 group companies, has been listed as "Sports Yell Company 2024" by the Japan Sports Agency for actively promoting and supporting its employees' sports participation to improve their health.
Konami Group engages in health and labor measures under the policy of "improving the foundations of the working environment through Health and Productivity Management that improves physical and mental conditions to maximize work performance."
In order for its employees to enhance their awareness to health, Konami Group organizes physical education events such as walking competitions operated in collaboration with Kanto IT Software Health Insurance Association* (one of Japan's largest comprehensive health insurance association) and company-wide bulletins aimed at improving employee health literacy.
*Kanto IT Software Health Insurance Association composes of 7,373 member companies and 656,829 insured employees (as of the end of February 2024.) The Association is currently chaired by KONAMI GROUP CORPORATION's Representative Director, President.
In an effort to create an environment that facilitates health promotion, Konami Group employees and their families are subsidized for their use of Konami Sports Clubs located nationwide.
In addition to "Konami Method," the existing free workout content, workout videos to introduce tips on practicing soccer, tennis, gymnastics and dance has been offered via Konami Sports' official YouTube channel to ease exercise at home and create an environment where you can become familiar with sports.
Konami Sports Co., Ltd. conducted "Plogging," a new sport in combination of jogging with picking up litter, to provide its employees an opportunity to communicate with local residents while engaging in cleaning and exercise.
*Konami Sports Co., Ltd. has marked 5 consecutive years of listing this year granting them the "Bronze Certification." For the remaining 5 companies, this is the second consecutive year of listing.
"Sports Yell Company" is a listing organized by Japan Sports Agency to foster social momentum for sports by encouraging sports amongst the "working generation." It recognizes companies participating in the "Sports in Life Consortium"* that makes proactive efforts in promoting sports activities to improve the health of their employees.
*Sports in Life Project is composed of local governments, sports organizations, and economic organizations that shares the vision to "create a society where many people can enjoy sports as a legacy of the Tokyo 2020 Games."
