Konami Sports Club Co., Ltd. sent its employee, Ryohei Kato, to Omori 6th Junior High School (a public junior high school in Ota Ward, Tokyo) as a guest lecturer for its students on Friday, January18th, 2019. Kato is a member of the Konami Sports Gymnastics Team, who won the gold medal in the men’s team all-around gymnastics at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics.
This special lecture was held in cooperation with "Ota Ward's Top Athlete Dispatching Program."
On the day of the lecture, Kato first attended a school lunch meeting with nine student representatives from Omori 6th Junior High School. The lunch meeting was followed by Kato’s lecture in a Q&A format in front of all the students.
During the lunch meeting and lecture, the students asked various questions, such as "What do you keep in mind about eating habits?" "What was your life like as a junior high school student?" and "What is the best part of
being a gymnast?"
Kato responded to each question and gave his opinion on what's important for the future, based on his own experience.
Konami Sports Club will continue to contribute to the promotion of sports through these activities, by conveying the value of playing sports to the younger generation who will bear the future.
