Konami Digital Entertainment collaborated with the Cabinet Office on esports exhibitions for "Children's Day for Visiting Kasumigaseki," for two days starting August 7th, 2019.
"Children's Day for Visiting Kasumigaseki" is an annual event held by government offices including the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology every summer, with the goal of giving parents and their children a chance to spend quality time together and experience first-hand how society broadly works, as well a gain understanding of various measures carried out by government offices.
In response to a request from the Cabinet Office that is tasked with the spreading and promotion of esports, Konami Digital Entertainment drew on its wealth of experience and knowledge in esports events, and set up a hands-on area enabling participants to experience esports through home console games "eFootball Winning Eleven 2020" (trial version) and "Jikkyou Pawafuru Puroyakyu 2018."
The event was a great opportunity for participants to experience the fun of putting together their own esports event, by participating as esports competitors, giving commentary and explanations in their own words and streaming the event using a camera.
Konami Digital Entertainment will strive to contribute to the further growth and spread of esports through these initiatives as a leading company in esports.
