Hold the Circle button down to continuously fire a rod-shaped laser beam. Use the left analog stick to control the direction of the beam. This attack can be used to deliver large amounts of damage to enemies in a particular direction.
Control it carefully to keep it on the enemy and you can inflict great amounts of damage.
Also useful in destroying buildings blocking your way.
