Star Wars: Force Collection receives The Force Awakens update

Card-battling mobile title Star Wars: Force Collection is receiving an updated, inspired by the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

With Star Wars: The Force Awakens launching in cinemas worldwide (have you seen it already?!), now is the time for popular mobile game SWFC to conjure some new Force Awakens-themed content. With 5-Star Cards like Rey, Kylo Ren and BB-8, this latest update is a sure-fire way to awaken more force in your squad!

Star Wars™: FORCE COLLECTION Updates Content Inspired by Star Wars™: The Force Awakens™

Celebrate the New Movie with in-game promotions and 5-Star cards, Including Rey, Kylo Ren and BB-8

Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. announced today that its popular mobile title, Star Wars™: FORCE COLLECTION (SWFC) will undergo a major update tomorrow to include new content inspired by Star Wars™: The Force Awakens™, including new promotions and card packs.

Celebrating the release of the highly anticipated film, the update will introduce a variety of exclusive cards including Rey, Kylo Ren and BB-8, among others. As a special bonus, Konami is also giving an exclusive 5-star card of BB-8 to all players who log in for a limited time only.

New Features Include:

• New Cards from “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”
  • 5-star: Rey, Kylo Ren, BB-8
  • 4-star: Finn, Captain Phasma
  • 3-star: Resistance Soldier, Stormtrooper

  • From Dec. 18^th-23^rd:
    • Special Star Wars: The Force Awakens Movie Release Card Pack
    • 11 Side Selectable Card Pack with two 4-star cards and one 5-star card (from the original trilogy or Star Wars: The Force Awakens) guaranteed
    • 6 Card Pack: One 4-star or above card from Star Wars: The Force Awakens guaranteed
    • 1 Card Pack which may include a card from the newest Star Wars™ film.

  • 11 Side Selectable Card Pack with two 4-star cards and one 5-star card (from the prequel trilogy or Star Wars: The Force Awakens) guaranteed
• Gameplay-Enhancing Features
  • Updated home screen design
  • Renewed chat system
  • Special Awakened card frames for Star Wars: The Force Awakens cards
  • A new tier that allows players to upgrade certain Star Wars: The Force Awakens cards beyond the Evolve tier. Players can do this once specific conditions are met, including possessing two Evolve max cards, and a minimum number of Holocrons, which can be obtained in events and map quests.

Additionally, KONAMISteve  will host an online event where players can vote for their favorite Star Wars™ characters from both the dark and light sides of the Force™. The winning characters will become the game’s newest 5-star cards. Players who voted for the winner of each side will be rewarded with a gold card pack ticket. Additional gold card pack tickets will be awarded to those who vote for the most popular character overall. As an added incentive, the more players vote, the more in-game rewards they will receive.

SWFC is a card battle game that takes place in the Star Wars universe. Players take command of more than 400 heroes, villains and vehicles, including Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker. Create your own deck of formidable battle formations and face off against rivals throughout the world in real-time Legion battles.
