METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES: Pre-Order Now and get PEACE WALKER Free!

KONAMI reveals new digital pre-order incentive exclusively for PlayStation®3 users

Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. will offer a free copy of its acclaimed METAL GEAR SOLID: PEACE WALKER title to any PlayStation®3 user pre-ordering the forthcoming METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES via the PlayStation®Network service.

Released on March 21st, METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES is the latest, and most ambitious, installment of Hideo Kojima’s acclaimed series.

In the latest of a series of pre-order incentives, KONAMI will give PlayStation®3 users who pre-order the METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES via Sony’s PlayStation®Network a copy of METAL GEAR SOLID: PEACE WALKER, absolutely free.

GROUND ZEROES is a direct sequel to PEACE WALKER – which plays a major part in setting up the story background for the new game. Thus, this is an opportunity for fans to fill in a very important gap in the METAL GEAR storyline. While it’s not necessary to play PEACE WALKER in order to enjoy GROUND ZEROES, it is a key chapter in the METAL GEAR saga that adds a great deal of context to the events of the new game.

METAL GEAR SOLID: PEACE WALKER was previously available as part of the METAL GEAR SOLID HD COLLECTION, and was originally produced for the PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) handheld system. It marked the arrival of a key element for the series in the form of Mother Base: a central hub wherein the user could store weaponry and POWs. The Mother Base idea is revisited and further explored in both METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES and its follow-up METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN.
