From creating amazing reddit communities to building their very own Metal Gear RAY, Metal Gear fans always seem to express their love for the series in a host of creative ways.

If there’s one thing the Metal Gear fan base is good at it’s surprising us with crossover fan art we’d never have dreamed of!  With that in mind, we’d like to celebrate the Metal Gear fans who who created the Metal Gear/My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic crossover. This may appear to be a strange and unusual cross over to the untrained eye but Metal Gear Pony fan-artists aren’t without their reasoning.

For example, one of the main characters in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Twilight Sparkle, is voiced by talented actor, Tara Strong. Metal Gear fans may recognise her as a recurring voice throughout the series, most notably as Paz Ortega in Peace Walker and Ground Zeroes. In the second season of My Little Pony: FiM, Strong’s character encounters a future version of herself who sports a look that Metal Gear fans may find somewhat familiar…

The MGS/MLP cross over isn’t just limited to fan art, of course! The community have tapped into a host of creative mediums such as fan fiction, YouTube videos, and even arts and crafts. Yet it’s the cross over fan art that seems to have won the heart of the combined fan-bases. With such an amazing selection to choose from we couldn’t possibly pick a favourite but we have curated a handful of the community’s most-loved art work in the gallery below.
