KONAMI ANNOUNCES THE EIGHT PARTICIPATING CLUBS TO TAKE ON THE eFootball CHAMPIONSHIP PRO 2023

The eFootball™ series’ flagship professional esports competition welcomes some of the biggest and most competitive clubs in the world

26th January 2023 – Windsor – KONAMI today is proud to announce that the eFootball™ Championship Pro will return for 2023 with a new roster of clubs. These clubs make up some of world football’s true elite institutions and will surely bring forth a fierce competition.

 

The eight clubs revealed

The 2023 edition of the competition sees the return of FC Barcelona, Manchester United, FC Bayern Munich, Arsenal FC, AS Roma, and 2022 champions AS Monaco.

These six will also be joined by two of the KONAMI’s newest partner clubs and potent rivals: AC Milan and FC Internazionale Milano.

 

The return to offline

For the first time in three years, 2023 will se the return of offline competition in the eFootball™ Championship Pro. All matches will be held in-person over in Barcelona, Spain.

Unlike the 2022 edition of the tournament, matchdays will be spread across four different months, seeing a more evolving, progressive league format before the ultimate knockout stage to determine the winners.

Get involved and win big with eFootball™ Championship Pro

During the tournament there will be two different giveaways for fans who get involved in the eFootball™ Championship Pro.

Firstly, if users watch Matchday 1 on YouTube through CP banner set in-game between 11th February (12:00 UTC) – 16 February (01:59 UTC) then they can win 2,000 eFootball™ points.

Secondly, there is the Victory Giveaway where fans can win official club merchandise based on the performances of clubs within the tournament. Details of this will be published online and on eFootball™ and club social media pages.
