The newly promoted Italian club will feature in the eFootball™ series in future updates.

Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. has today announced that the company has signed a multi-year partnership agreement with AC Monza, who recently gained promotion to the top tier of Italian league football for the first time in the club’s history.

This will see KONAMI become the “Official Football Videogame Partner”, an agreement that will launch at the start of the 2022/23 football season and see the club feature in future updates of the eFootball™ series.

The partnership will incorporate numerous marketing, club legends, and esports rights. To kick start the partnership KONAMI has carried out a comprehensive 3D scanning of AC Monza’s squad and the club will be part of KONAMI’s new esports competition launching in Italy next season.

AC Monza is a historic club founded in 1912. On September 28th 2018, Fininvest S.p.A. – the holding of Silvio Berlusconi finalised the acquisition of the club; an extraordinary event for the city. The arrival of Berlusconi and Adriano Galliani brought great optimism, as the paid were reunited once again after their successful past with AC Milan.

KONAMI’s latest partnership announcement for the eFootball™ series follows previous top-tier Italian agreements including AS Roma, SS Lazio, SSC Napoli, Atalanta BC and more recently AC Milan.

Naoki Morita, President at Konami Digital Entertainment B.V., commented:
“Through our new partnership with AC Monza, it is our strong belief that we can reach an even broader range of football fans and gamers in Italy and beyond. We’re looking forward to a long and successful partnership.”

Adriano Galliani, CEO of AC Monza stated: “It is a great honour to join the other top Italian and international clubs partnered with Konami. This agreement enables AC Monza to expand its brand worldwide and we are convinced that both parties will benefit from the partnership.”
