BEMANI PRO LEAGUE -SEASON 2- SOUND VOLTEX Gets Underway!

Konami Amusement Co., Ltd. is thrilled to announce the start of BEMANI PRO LEAGUE -SEASON 2- SOUND VOLTEX, previously announced as a new competition added to BEMANI PRO LEAGUE -SEASON 2-.
BEMANI PRO LEAGUE is a new form of entertainment, a fusion of esports and music organized by KONAMI.
"SOUND VOLTEX" has been added to the lineup this season, and the same eight (※) team sponsors from the "beatmania IIDX" competition currently underway will participate.
BEMANI PRO LEAGUE -SEASON 2- SOUND VOLTEX will be packed with exciting content for SOUND VOLTEX fans, including matches in MEGAMIX BATTLE, a new mode in the series' latest cabinet, "SOUND VOLTEX -Valkyrie model-"; TAG BATTLE, in which teammates join forces; and competitions featuring new tracks that were winning entries in the BEMANI PRO LEAGUE Commemorative Track Composition Contest.
In addition, beginning today, we have started accepting entries for the BEMANI PRO LEAGUE -SEASON 2- SOUND VOLTEX pro tryouts that will determine the competition's players. Those who qualify will be able to take part as candidates in the draft set for Saturday, September 17, 2022. A total of 24 players (three to a team) will be selected at the draft and sign contracts to become BEMANI PRO LEAGUE -SEASON 2- SOUND VOLTEX pro gamers.
BEMANI PRO LEAGUE is yet another way that Konami Amusement will continue to offer new user experiences to a growing audience, creating titles that are fun and exciting for players and spectators alike.

BEMANI PRO LEAGUE -SEASON 2- SOUND VOLTEX summary
■Tournament Structure
The season will be divided into the Regular Stage, Quarter-Final, Semi-Final and Final.
The Regular Stage will consist of league battles. The eight teams will be split up into two leagues and play the other teams in their league in a round robin. Following this, a series of inter-league match-ups will determine the final standings, with the top two teams advancing to the Final. From the Quarter-Finals on, positions will be determined by a tournament format.
■Regular Stage Overview
Each match will consist of a first, second and third round battle between the team's three players.
Round 1 will take place in MEGAMIX BATTLE mode. This is a new kind of track mix battle mode, added to the latest entry in the SOUND VOLTEX series, "SOUND VOLTEX EXCEED GEAR." It has players tossing tracks back and forth at each other in a megamix style battle.

Round 2 will be a 2-on-2 tag battle. The teams play the tracks each of them select, competing for the higher combined score for both players.
Round 3 will be a 1-on-1 single battle. In addition to the competition tracks selected by each player, a new track will be unveiled every match! These tracks will be ones submitted by the general public to the BEMANI PRO LEAGUE -SEASON 2- Commemorative Track Composition Contest that ran from April 28 to June 13. The winning entries are currently being selected.
Details for the Final tournament and beyond are coming soon, so stay tuned.
Both the MEGAMIX BATTLE mode used for the first round and the ARENA BATTLE versus mode are playable on the latest SOUND VOLTEX cabinet, the "SOUND VOLTEX -Valkyrie model-". BEMANI PRO LEAGUE -SEASON 2- SOUND VOLTEX Pro Tryouts
Players who qualify at the pro tryouts held by KONAMI and are subsequently selected by a team at the draft will become pro gamers.
The pro tryouts consist of a document screening, interview and practical exam.
Players may enter for the pro tryouts up until July 18 (Monday, a holiday). We look forward to receiving your entry!

SOUND VOLTEX is a series of arcade games that was first released in 2012.
These music simulation games have players pressing buttons and turning analog knobs in time with music, as well as adding effects to the music, resulting in an altogether new kind of music game experience.
