KONAMI MAH-JONG FIGHT CLUB Advances to Asahi Shimbun M.League 2021-22 Finals Series

Konami Amusement Co., Ltd. is thrilled to announce that KONAMI MAH-JONG FIGHT CLUB has won the semifinals series^*1 and advanced to the finals series^*2 in the pro mahjong M.League 2021-22 regular season, which began in October 2021.

The M.League 2021-22 regular season^*3 began on October 4, 2021. All players put in spirited performances, with standouts including newcomer Kazunori Takizawa, who placed third out of 32 players among all teams for personal score, along with fellow newcomer, Arisa Date, who placed fourth. As a team, KONAMI MAH-JONG FIGHT CLUB advanced to the semifinals series in third place overall.
Moreover, Hisato Sasaki got off to a good start in the first match of the semifinal series by scoring the first ever Yakuman—a Suuankou (Four Concealed Pungs)—of the M.League 2021-22 season. Riding the momentum, he gained enough points to advance to the finals series in second place overall.

The finals series is set to start on Monday, April 18. This is the first time in three years since the M.League 2018 season that KONAMI MAH-JONG FIGHT CLUB has advanced to the finals series. KONAMI MAH-JONG FIGHT CLUB will continue to work hard toward championship glory, and hope to count on your support!
