Two New Companies Join BEMANI PRO LEAGUE -SEASON 2-

Konami Amusement Co., Ltd. is thrilled to welcome GENDA SEGA Entertainment Inc. and Taito Corporation to BEMANI PRO LEAGUE -SEASON 2-. They join the season's six returning companies, bringing the number of team owners to eight. In addition, on Monday, January 24, we launched the competition's portal website (https://konami.jp/3KoIMbc). It contains details on this season's rules, and it is also where players can sign up to take part in pro tryouts for the "beatmania IIDX" phase of BEMANI PRO LEAGUE -SEASON 2-.
BEMANI PRO LEAGUE is a new form of entertainment – a fusion of esports and music – brought to you by KONAMI. In BEMANI PRO LEAGUE -SEASON 2-, the contest's second year, the competition titles now include "DanceDanceRevolution" and "SOUND VOLTEX," in addition to last year's "beatmania IIDX."
What's more, two new team owners have joined the fray, increasing the total number of participating companies to eight.
Pro tryouts, which got underway January 24, are divided into screening, interview and practical components. Applicants who pass all three components will earn the right to enter April's draft as prospects. Each company will decide which
of its players from last season will return, with the number of players re-signed varying from team to team. Any open slots after this process will then be filled by the draft. After signing with their respective teams, the 32 players (four
to a team) will take the stage as professional players in the "beatmania IIDX" phase of BEMANI PRO LEAGUE -SEASON 2-.
BEMANI PRO LEAGUE is yet another way that Konami Amusement will continue to offer new user experiences to a growing audience, creating titles that are fun and exciting for players and spectators alike.

BEMANI is the unified brand name for Konami Amusement's music games. The name comes from an abbreviation of beatmania, which was introduced in 1997, and it is used to refer to Konami Amusement's entire music game lineup.

The beatmania IIDX games are a flagship BEMANI series that was introduced in 1999. In these DJ simulation games, players must press seven keys and spin a turntable to the beat. With their diverse track lists and deep gameplay, they offer an authentic disc jockey experience, and have garnered praise for over two decades.
