Konami Amusement Co., Ltd. is thrilled to announce 24 players have each agreed to a contract with one of the six companies participating in BEMANI PRO LEAGUE 2021, becoming professional esport athletes.
The opening ceremony and First Stage opening matchups will be livestreamed on Saturday, June 12.
BEMANI PRO LEAGUE is a new form of entertainment that fuses esports and music, brought to you by KONAMI. Each team will be comprised of professional players who will battle it out for overall victory for their team in league-style battles. A total of 20,000 yen in prize money is set to be given out among the teams. Finally, the inaugural competition title will be "beatmania IIDX," a rhythm game that represents more than two decades of history of the BEMANI series.
BEMANI PRO LEAGUE will consist of a First Stage, Second Stage, Semifinal Stage and Final Stage.
