Arcade Game Players to Face off in Heated Competition!
Official KONAMI esports Tournament The 9th KONAMI Arcade Championship Begins!

Konami Amusement Co., Ltd. announces that it will begin accepting applications today for The 9th KONAMI Arcade Championship ("The 9th KAC"), the official esports tournament to decide the ultimate arcade game players, at amusement centers nationwide and in Asia, Oceania and North America*1

Now in its ninth year, The KONAMI Arcade Championship will crown the best players of a total of 14 KONAMI arcade titles spanning various genres such as popular online mahjong game "Mah-Jong Fight Club," BEMANI series music game "beatmania IIDX" and medal game "Eldora Crown."

A series of qualifying rounds will begin shortly, and the top players from those rounds will gather to compete in the respective finals of "DanceDanceRevolution," "SOUND VOLTEX" and "beatmania IIDX" at JAEPO 2020*2 (the Japan Amusement Expo 2020), an arcade game exposition held on Saturday, February 8.

The finals of other titles will be held at various venues in Tokyo. Fans can look forward to a thrilling tournament full of excitement.

Konami Amusement hopes that The 9th KAC will serve as an opportunity for an ever bigger audience of both new and old players and spectators to experience the fun and excitement of KONAMI titles.

KONAMI Arcade Championship
The "KONAMI Arcade Championship," held since 2011, is KONAMI's official esports tournament to decide the best arcade game players.
Every year, heated competition unfolds across various types of arcade games such as video games, music games and medal games.
  • *1 Only some of the above titles will be featured in competition in Asia, Oceania and North America.
  • *2 Japan Amusement Expo 2020 is an arcade game exposition that will be held at Makuhari Messe (located in Chiba) from Friday, February 7 to Saturday, February 8, 2020. The expo will only be open to professionals on Friday, but will be open to the public on Saturday. In addition to showcasing the latest arcade games and other cabinets soon to be playable at amusement centers, the expo will feature various stage events and tournaments.
