Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, Konami Digital Entertainment) has been a Special Sponsor of Nippon Professional Baseball Organization (hereinafter, NPB)'s "NPB Junior Tournament KONAMI CUP" for four consecutive years since 2020.
In this Tournament, 5th and 6th grade baseball players from elementary schools across Japan are drafted by the 12 NPB teams to compete at NPB ballparks and become Japan's Number One. The tournament raises DREAM-PROGRESS-WELLNESS as its philosophy and has produced many professional baseball players.
As a Special Sponsor of this Tournament, Konami Digital Entertainment has supported creating an environment where these elementary school baseball players can interact. Furthermore, in order to honor individual players and the efforts of the non-Champion teams, "PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL SPIRITS Award" that praise the team that passed the ball around the fastest pre-game as well as "PAWAFURU PUROYAKYU Award" that praise the player with most promising future throughout the competition, has been established in 2021 to further vitalize the Tournament.
