Starstrike Blast Preview: Scrap Mind Reader

November 2nd, 2010

The Scrap monsters debuted mere months ago in Duelist Revolution, but they’ve already made a big impact.  Scraps were first played at YCS Toronto, but their real breakthrough was a Top 16 finish at YCS San Jose.  They topped yet again at YCS Philadelphia, and at each of those tournaments we saw new ideas and new strategies in each Scrap Deck.  Scraps have had some impressive Top 8 finishes at recent Regional Qualifiers, too.  With those successes in the record books, Scrap Duelists are going to get a bundle of new tricks in Starstrike Blast, and 1 of them is an all-new card making its world debut: Scrap Mind Reader!

Once per turn, while this card is in your Graveyard during your Main Phase 2, you can select 1 face-up "Scrap" monster you control, except "Scrap Mind Reader". Destroy that monster and Special Summon this card from the Graveyard. If you do, remove this card from play when it is removed from the field. If this card is used as a Synchro Material Monster, all other Synchro Material Monsters must be "Scrap" monsters.
