Introducing Transcendent Visuals - PES will offer drastic improvements in license content, stadium atmospheres, player likenesses all the way down to the specific moves of the real life players. When you play as Messi, it will be like Messi is playing.
Evolution of Intelligence - PES will draw upon the real life excitement of soccer which relies heavily on intelligent defenses and offensive schemes. The AI is redone and will feature Teamvision 2.0 for a more formidable opponent. It will also help your offense to build attacks or to close down your opponents attacks. Gamers will be able to execute orchestrated attacks and defenses which involve multiple players at the same time.
The Power of Choice - In addition to the UEFA Champions League mode, players will have more choices than ever. They can choose any of the modes including an enhanced Master League mode enabling players to create and manage their team for a longer period of time. In addition there will be multiple cups to play for and an edit mode to further personify your team.

Manual Goalkeepers: PES 2010 will be the only football title to offer users complete control of the keeper. Players can switch to their goalkeeper at any time, and will enjoy total control of his actions.
New Goalkeeper Moves: Players can now perform quick under-arm throws to their nearest defender to get attacks rolling more quickly.
All-NewAnimation: Key animation related to dribbling, running, turning, etc, has been reworked and enhanced, creating a more natural and organic feel to the way players chase down balls, change direction and move around the pitch. The result is a more fluid and natural look to the game.
Fine-tuned Close Control: The PES Productions team has worked to improve trapping of the ball and basic close control elements, giving the user more ways to spread and move the ball around effortlessly.
Manual Ball Request: The ability to demand the ball when running into space is now available to the player, and will be accessible in all game modes, such as multi-player, online, etc.
Simpler Skills: Moves such as feints, drag backs and upper body feints can be applied more naturally when taking on or trying to beat an opponent. The PES series has long been associated with clever flicks and tricks, and PES 2010 will boast the most to date.

Improved Balance: A new game balance system affects both attacking and defensive elements of the game. Players in possession will have ‘instantaneous stamina’ to reduce unbeatable runs from being used constantly. Sprint too often and players will experience adverse affects!
Timely Controls: Fine strategic controls have been given more significance as new players can perform new AI feints to bypass the opposition while dribbling. Defenders will also have to think of which areas to close down attacking schemes and regain possession.
New Free Kick System: Set pieces are now viewed from the kicker’s perspective and targeting using a pointer system. This allows users to add swerve and additional pace of their kicks depending on the shot taker’s abilities. This level of control even allows players to move their keepers earlier in matches against other human opponents.
Updated Animations: Players will signal for passes and slick new animations for the Wii will bring the Champions Road and Master League modes to life. "The stakes have been raised and PES 2010 for Wii shows that Konami can still innovate and surprise," commented Akiyoshi 'Greyhound' Chosogabe. "Our control system for Wii is still regarded as the finest and most intuitive around, and we have once again reworked it to add a level of control and realism that can appeal to new and old PES fans alike."
