KONAMI ANNOUNCES PUDDLE FOR THE PLAYSTATION®NETWORK AND XBOX LIVE® ARCADE

2010 GDC Independent Games Festival Winner Teams up with KONAMI to Expand the Physics-Based Puzzle Platform Game Available Later This Year

Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. today announced that it will publish Puddle, the winner of the 2010 GDC Independent Games Festival Student Showcase Division, this year for the PlayStation®Network for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and for Xbox LIVE® Arcade for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. What initially started off at a six level student project developed by E-NEKO Entertainment out of France, has now turned into a full blown PlayStation Network downloadable title that will be on display at the KONAMI booth at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo, (E3).

In Puddle, players experience a brilliantly designed physics-based puzzle/platform game where they must guide a puddle of fluid to its target destination, not by moving the fluid, but by tilting the game environment. The player must work with friction, momentum, and the unique properties of each type of fluid and environment to send as much of each puddle past fires, electrical sparks, rifts, potential spills and more. But watch out: the fluid motion is realistic! Tilt too quickly and some droplets are left behind; tilt too slowly you may not be able to make certain jumps, or the liquid may simply evaporate away.

Environments will be a crucial part in Puddle as players will have to safely navigate through pipes, plants, laboratories, a human body, a sewer, a rocket, a foundry and a power station. With players never being able to see the entire level from the start, Puddle will offer plenty of unexpected twists keeping players alert and ready for the next obstacle coming around the corner.

Puddle is scheduled for release later this year on the PlayStation® Network.
